Practical Information
 
Continuing Medical Education
Continuing Medical Education credits are requested at several Dutch Societies:
- Accreditation has been received from the Dutch Society of Sports Physicians (VSG) with 17 points.
Thursday 5 points; Friday & Saturday 6 points each day.

- Accreditation has been received from the 'Keurmerk Physiotherapy' with 14 points.
Thursday 6 points; Friday 5 points and Saturday 3 points.

- Accreditation has been received from the Dutch Society of Physiotherapy (KNGF) with 15 points for sports physiotherapists.
Accreditation number 26841.

By registration, please advise the Meeting organizers of any special dietary or physical requirements.

Cancellation of the Meeting
The organizers reserve the right to cancel the Meeting in case of any unpredictable event.
 
Insurance
The meeting organisers cannot accept any liability for personal injuries, loss or damage to properties belonging to participants, either during or as a result of the meeting. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel insurance.
 
Language
The Meeting language will be English. There will be no simultaneous translation facilities.
Dutch is the predominant language in the Netherlands but English is spoken by almost everyone.

By car / parking
Parking facilities are available nearby the UMCG, for instance 'Parking Noord" (paid parking).
 
Traffic
Apart from cobble stone paved streets, old Dutch cities are sometimes small and narrow, and traffic can be very hectic, chaotic even. Especially busses and bikes show unpredicted behavior, be aware of that!
 
Currency
The currency is the EURO.
Major Credit Cards are accepted at most restaurants, shops and hotels.
 
Shopping
Most shops and department stores are open from 10.00 to 18.00 Monday to Friday. Saturday from 09.00 to 17.00 hours.
Some shops are open on Sunday.
 
Power
Electricity Sockets take 2 pin round plugs. The electrical current in the Netherlands is 220 volts.
 
Time
The Netherlands is two-hours ahead on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), one-hour ahead Central European Time (CET) and seven-hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Time.
 
Weather
The climate in The Netherlands is a sea-climate with temperatures in September between 14-16º C. It is helpful to note that there is always a chance of showers, due to variable weather patterns.
